About Us
Stage Crew Productions is a group of theater troupes for youth age 4-18. With various satellite programs throughout Howard County, we welcome all young actors and actresses to join our productions. We produce about three shows a year in several different locales. Stage Crew Productions was founded in 2004 as UHL Theater has quickly expanded into several different programs, producing hit musicals like Godspell and The Music Man. Production Team
Mindi Lawton Producer
Mindi Lawton is the producer and coordinator for Stage Crew Productions. Mindi has over 11 years of drama experience in the local area. Her most recent productions include Oz!, The Music Man, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, and Bye, Bye Birdie. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. She is also co-director of the Mount View Middle School drama program in Howard County. Although she has never appeared on stage, her theater experience also includes many years of behind the scenes work throughout high school and college.
Briana Lawton Director
Briana Lawton is the director at Stage Crew Productions. Briana is a senior at Marriotts Ridge High School in Marriottsville. She has acted in many shows, including Once Upon A Mattress, The Music Man, Fame, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Godspell, and Grease.
Danny Clemens Technical Director/Webmaster
Danny Clemens, a junior at Long Reach High School, has been performing on and behind stages throughout Howard County for over ten years. In the past year, he appeared as the Duke Orsino in HCC's Actor's Institute production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and Ben Banks in Long Reach High School's production of Father of the Bride. Danny is the Technical Director for Stage Crew Productions in Sykesville and was recently in charge of lighting/sound design and special effects for their production of Oz!. He would like to thank all of the wonderful, talented individuals with whom he has had the privilege of working, including Nancy Macks, Shari Grue, Mindi and Briana Lawton, Debbie Leonard, Sonny Lerner, and Jenny Male.
Erica Crouch Choreographer
Erica Crouch is a junior at Marriotts Ridge High School and has been involved in drama productions since 8th grade, both onstage and off. Some of her roles include Mrs. Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, Old Joe/Fan in A Christmas Carol, Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man, and the Wicked Witch in Oz. She was also assistant stage manager of Good Doctor at Marriots Ridge High School. Erica has 7 years of dance experience and has recently begun choreographing shows. Mount View Middle School's production of Oz was one of her first shows choreographed followed by a few dance numbers in Cinderella's Glass Slipper. She looks forward to the upcoming shows and would like to thank everyone involved - especially the awesome Dan Clem, marvelous Briana Lawton, and the nifty Mrs. Mindi!
